Student Scholarships
2026 SISD Education Foundation Scholarships – APPLY NOW!
The Foundation awards scholarships to graduating seniors in honor of their academic accomplishments and to help with the cost of higher education. Applicants must meet specific criteria to be considered for each scholarship. Student scholarships offered by the Foundation include the following:
Beneke Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants who will be graduating from Westfield or Wunsche high schools. To qualify, the student must have attended Beneke Elementary. The Education Foundation will award one scholarship annually up to a maximum of $1,000.
Andy Dekaney Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants from Dekaney High School. The Education Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship annually.
Brenda Green Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship recipients will be chosen from applicants graduating from a Spring ISD high school. To qualify, applicants must be seniors planning to pursue careers in education. The Education Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship annually.
Jeannie Shilling Hammer Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship recipients will be chosen from applicants who will be graduating from a Spring ISD high school. To qualify, applicants must be seniors planning to enter the field of music education. The Education Foundation will award one scholarship annually maximum of $1,000.
The Rhonda Newhouse Scholarship
Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants graduating from a Spring ISD high school. The Education Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship annually.
The Rumph Family Scholarship
Scholarship recipients will be chosen from applicants graduating from a Spring ISD high school. To qualify, applicants must be seniors planning to attend a HBCU (Historically Black College or University). The Education Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship annually.
Spring ISD Education Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship recipients will be chosen from applicants graduating from a Spring ISD high school. The Education Foundation will award scholarships in the amount of $1,000.
Spring Way Scholarship
Scholarship recipients will be chosen from applicants who will be graduating from a Spring ISD high school. To qualify, applicants must have a parent or legal guardian who is currently a full-time Spring ISD employee. The Education Foundation will award scholarships in the amount of $1,000.
Beth Fuller Scholarship
Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants who will be graduating from Westfield High School. The Foundation will award one $2,500 scholarship annually.
The Marshall Family Scholarship
Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants who will be graduating from Spring High School. The Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship annually.
Barbara Raye Sherman Educator Scholarship
Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants graduating from a Spring ISD high school. To qualify, applicants must be seniors planning to pursue a career in education and plan to become a teacher, counselor, coach or administrator. The Education Foundation will award one $2,500 scholarship annually.
Robert E. Morrison Scholarship
Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants who will be graduating from Spring or Westfield High School. The Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship annually.
Retired Principals Scholarship
Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants who will be graduating from a Spring ISD High School. The foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship annually.
Athletic Scholarship
Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants graduating from a Spring ISD High School. To qualify, applicants must be seniors who have participated in athletics for four years and are presently in good standing in the SISD Athletics Program, as a player, trainer or cheerleader and who has excelled in Academics. The Education Foundation will award one $1,500 scholarship annually.
Community Service / Volunteer Scholarship
Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants who will be graduating from a Spring ISD High School. To qualify applicants must have significant community service/volunteer hours that make an impact on the community. The Education Foundation will award One $1,000 scholarship annually.
Denise Eaton Glaw Scholarship
Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants from a Spring ISD High School. Student must have been in choir for two years and will write a 500 word essay entitled, “How has being in choir become significant or changed your life? The Education Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship annually.
Nellie Marshall “D’Ray” Scholarship
Scholarship recipient will be chosen from an applicant graduating from a Spring ISD High school and is a participant in good standing in the JROTC program. The Education Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship annually.
● Applicant must be a 4 year JROTC cadet at a Spring ISD High School.
● Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA over-all and 4.0 GPA in JROTC courses.
● Must serve as a battalion staff member or Team Commander.
● Must have attended JCLC summer camp.
● Must have competed in local and national competitions.
● Must provide a letter of recommendation from a senior instructor.
● Must have completed 120 + DSG hours.
● Must attach a copy of the cadet JUMS personnel record.
