The Spring ISD Education Foundation has awarded $70,000 in scholarships to more than 50 students graduating from Spring ISD high schools in June, in recognition of their hard work and talent.
“We received hundreds of applications to review,” said Foundation President Ken Grays. “It was a very tough decision, because there were so many deserving applicants. The students selected represent some of our district’s brightest and best, and we’re happy to help support their college and career dreams.”
The Education Foundation holds an annual scholarship competition each spring, distributing thousands of dollars among nine named funds. The nonprofit organization works throughout the year to raise money to support Spring ISD students and teachers with fundraising efforts, including the annual Tee Up for Education Golf Tournament.
